Fun and adventure await! Get personal with us and our family-owned horses as we ride and splash our way through the rural roads, mountains and rivers of scenic Santa Fe on horseback.

GET IN THE SADDLE AND EXPLORE CENTRAL PANAMA
​
Our morning horseback adventure begins from the Horseback Panama Stables located along the Bulaba river. We quickly hit the trails, heading out into the mountain trails. This ride includes river crossings, suspension bridges and opportunities to trot or canter with the horses - depending on your confidence! Your guide will point out flora and fauna on the way, with the possibilities of sampling fresh oranges or mandarins plucked off the trees or perhaps crack open a cacao pod depending on the season.
Riders of all levels and abilities will enjoy this ride. There are various river stops to dismount and stretch your legs and as our rides are private you are able to decide on what your comfortable with. Traveling with kids - not a problem! We have a variety of well trained ponies who are here to make sure your children are well taken care of and enjoy their time on horseback. The age limit for children is 6+.

A WORD ON WEATHER​

The weather on the day will affect our plans, so please understand that while we want to guarantee your day, riding in a tropical storm is no fun!

WHAT TO BRING
We recommend that you pack a water bottle, swim suit, rain jacket, hat, sunblock, insect repellant, dry bag or ziplock for electronics.
​
We recommend you wear long pants such as jodhpurs/jeans, closed toe shoes. Helmets are available upon request.

TRAVELLING SOLO - NO PROBLEM!
​
Calling all adventure travelers who are exploring alone and want to feel safe in the remote areas, especially our female equestrians. You will feel right at home with a new friend as Lizzie is a bi-lingual, female horseback guide. If rider levels and travel dates align we can ask groups if they would like to join together.

HIKE & RIDE - REQUEST BERMEJO WATERFALL
The hillsides around Santa Fe are rich with small subsistence farms, narrow trails and a local way of life. Exploring on horseback creates the opportunity to travel deeper into the area.
Request a stop at Cascada Bermejo, one of our most beautiful waterfalls, and we'll hitch the horses and take a short hike to the base of the waterfall for a cool swim in the refreshing mountain water before riding back into town!
FARM TO TABLE LUNCH & COFFEE TOUR - $6 EXTRA PER RIDER
Make a lunch stop at Santa Fe's well known organic coffee farm, Maria & Chong Finca. Here you will discover lush gardens filled to the brim with orchids, native plants and fruit trees. Get to know the owners and learn about local life and sustenance farming first hand.
After an informative tour demonstrating the processes that go into making a cup of artisanal coffee, we sit down to a delicious farm to table lunch before heading back into Santa fe town.
